David has over 20 years' investment banking experience in senior management front office roles. He began his career as a fixed income trader at Bankers Trust, then took increasingly senior trading positions at BZW, HSBC and ABN Amro, culminating in becoming Head of Secondary Bonds at Daiwa Securities in 1998.

David then played a crucial management role in the merger of the London operations of Daiwa and Sumitomo Intl., which created DaiwaSMBC Europe in 1999, by ensuring that all aspects of IT and Operations were re-orientated toward effectively and efficiently supporting the business line.

This created the foundations of the strategic blueprint for subsequent growth including the development of STP, Electronic Trading and CRM systems.

David served as a Member of both the DaiwaSMBC Risk Committee and the IT Steering Committee playing a pivotal role throughout in ensuring that Front Office businesses obtained the maximum the 'value add' from IT.

David now specialises in leading IT change programmes and ensuring that they deliver benefit to the business lines that they support.
