Preventing Corruption: Health Check
The Bribery Act Health Check is a methodology used to investigate the high level condition of your anti-corruption preparations. It is not designed as an in-depth review of your preparations and nor will it be capable of providing in-depth remedial actions (if required). It will, however, provide you with a good idea as to the general condition of your anti-corruption regime.
- Headline review of your preparations for compliance with the Bribery Act 2010
- Designed to provide a focussed, cost and time effective high level review of current arrangements
- Focussed on the 6 high level principles (these are guiding principles issued by the Ministry of Justice which, if properly followed, may provide a firm with a defence to a charge of corruption)
- Light touch review of supporting internal documentation
- High level review of monitoring arrangements
- Will provide a gap analysis identifying areas of concern or potential liability
At the end of the Health Check we will prepare a short report which will illustrate the state of your organisation's readiness from a high level perspective. It will highlight areas of concern, briefly remind you of the obligations which you may be at risk of failing to keep and provide any recommendations which may be relevant.
The Health Check will typically take 4 to 5 days to complete.
