The Client
A major UK financial services company.
The Challenge
The company was about to go through its first visit under the revised ARROW II approach and , after a period of rapid growth, was concerned that its approach to risk and regulation might appear disjointed to the FSA.
The Solution
Lysis provided a programme manager and SME to work with the firm to plan and rehearse the ARROW visit.
Specifically:
- A plan for the orientation and preparation phases.
- A focus on coordination of documentation to present to the FSA.
- Mock arrow interviews and panel sessions.
- Critical analysis of the performance of interviewees and the level of consistency of their answers.
- Re-orientation to get everyone on the same page and remove inconsistencies of presentation.
- Articulation of a plan to deal with any known weaknesses. This plan was presented to the FSA at the formal ARROW visit.
- Development of a plan and documentation for the visit itself.
The Outcome
The firm performed well at the ARROW visit and built an improved relationship with the regulator as a result.
