The Client
A global wholesale bank.
The Challenge
The programme to satisfy KYC requirements was subject to a high degree of regulatory pressure and supported a global user base in excess of 1,500 in 57 countries worldwide .
The programme covered the risk re-assessment of existing clients, new client take-on and customer lifecycle management.
Application development was outsourced to external partners, but the bank needed to increase the strength of its in-house programme and project management team.
The Approach
Lysis provided a programme manager, a project manager, a senior PMO and a lead BA to work within the bank's programme management team. Lysis resources provided extensive vendor management experience, coupled with deep experience of keeping complex programmes on track.
Working within this team Lysis personnel took responsibility for:- Management of a 65-strong BA, development and test team and the execution of the risk re-assessment IT development supporting the risk re-assessment of over 80,000 customers globally to a strict regulatory deadline.
- Management of a 20-strong business analysis, development and testing team in London and India and the execution of the development of the bank's client lifecycle management application.
- Migration of in excess of 80,000 historical risk re-assessments to the strategic platform.
- An integrated programme plan, integrated RAID Log, budget management and programme reporting.
The Outcome
The bank successfully met its regulatory deadlines and has been able to provide cost effective IT support for its global Know Your Customer initiatives.
